Before you visit us
Before we can advise you on the best contact lenses for you, you will need:
- An up to date prescription. This means that your prescription will need to have been issued within the last 12 months. If you had your eye test with us within that time frame, we will already have your prescription on record.
A sight test - if you don't have the above prescription, we can provide you with a sight test as part of your appointment. Simply let us know when you book your appointment.
Your form current sight correction, whether that's glasses or contact lenses.
- Our optometrist will spend time talking to you about your lifestyle and vision requirements before discussing options on suitable contact lenses for you. This helps us to develop a better understanding of you as a person and your lifestyle.
- You will be offered the chance to take some sample lenses away and get used to them outside of the practice environment. You can wear and care for the lenses in your normal environment, getting used to how they feel and whether they fit with your lifestyle.
- Following this, simply let us know how you are getting on. You can choose to continue with the lenses that you have tried or have a second consultation and discuss further options. It is our priority that you are happy with whatever you choose, so we will work with you to find the best solution.
